I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and diagnostic for my backing camera. I was told it needed replaced at a $600 cost and it was not under warranty. I declined. It started working again after I went over railroad tracks. This tells me two things. It was a loose connection with the wire to the camera and the tech charged me $149.95 for work that was not even performed on the vehicle. If a diagnostic was performed, I would not have been told that the camera needed replaced.
